چکیده

Internetliteracyiscrucialtobecomeinformationliterateandforlifelonglearningfortoday’scitizens. However,thereisanidentifiedgendereddigitaldivideinInternetusage,asthemajorproportion ofunconnectedcitizens,especiallyinthedevelopingeconomiesinasiancountriesarewomen.The problemsofthegenderdigitaldividearenotjustlimitedtoconnectivityandinfrastructuralissues, literacyandthecostofaccess,whichareoftendiscussedintheliterature.Theauthorsidentifysome ofthesecondorderfactorsthatareoftenoverlookedandariseoutofcognitive,psychologicaland socialfactorsleadingtothedigitaldivide.Thepaperalsodiscussespossiblemeasuresthatcouldbe takenuptoaddressthesecondordergenderdigitaldivide.
